Clicker training can be a misunderstood method of training as some may think it's not "serious". For me, this is an extremely effective means of communication between me and a dog. Timing has to be very good otherwise the communication gets confusing.
I've used the clicker for 12 years now and have taught my dogs several pretty cools tricks. However, I've had great success with modifying behaviour, shaping fitness exercises and of course teaching basic obedience cues.
In the class you will be introduced to proper use of the clicker and how to get great timing. You will learn the various ways of getting behaviours to happen and the concept of 'shaping' behaviours to get the desired result.
This workshop type class is limited to 4 dogs. Your dog should be food motivated.
Term: 4-week term, cost $70, each class 1 hr in length
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Puppy Preschool, Puppy2 or Good Manners. Food motivated dogs preferred.
